People Grow

When I wake up in the morning I think of my wonderful husband and how much I miss him and wish he was here. I live for every moment that gets my closer to seeing him so that I can laugh with him about life and memories and the time spent apart only making us stronger. Then you have love and I love every second out of those 15 minutes that I get to talk to him on Sundays and I look forward to the next Sunday right after the phone call end. But all of this is just in the moment and when he gets home there will be something new to live for just taking it day by day gets you through life and the people you meet on the way are a plus just make sure to say hi.

You Only Have One Chance

I know that the saying is kind of stupid but when you don’t say it after you have done something you can’t take back it really makes since we only get one chance to make things right and not everyone knows when they are going to die some of them don’t even think about death they think it will never happen to them so they push it away and never really live and love life they are just there. Morrie get the chance to say sorry and goodbye before he die and not everyone is so lucky most of us just die and we didn’t even see it coming like an accident. You don’t want any regrets if that happens so you need to live in the moment and love people and have relationships so you can have memories to last forever.

Ups and Downs of Life

Everyone lives different lives and sometime we need this that we just can’t afford which is where thrift comes into play everyone help everyone else out. We all give a help hand to those in need just by donating our used clothes that we don't like or maybe they just don't fight us anymore, but someone else might enjoy them. We all come across hard time and being able to get a helping hand is maybe what we all need but if the tables were turned would you give a helping hand some people would and other wouldn't we all need to learn how to give and take and learn from our mistakes. So we can all live in harmony.

Gap Creek home away from home

Gap Creek by Robert Morgan published by Simon and Schuster, Inc. Robert Morgan is an English professor at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York he is a James B. Hanes Poetry Prize winner and has written many other books. His first book was a finalist for the Southern Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction. This book in shocking and embracing on what a woman can do all on her own yes the book takes place in the past and the author does a great job of showing what it was like back then so you get a taste of the troubles of our past relatives.  This book shows how a young woman Julie goes through a hard childhood and a rough marriage with Hank her husband and still makes it out alright.
This book was a great read I wish it had a better ending or a sequel but other than that I would say it is a must read it shows you so much about our past and what men and woman had to go through so many years ago and to see where we are today is amazing.  How not having a job was like back then vs. today we have shelter and thing to help those who can’t help themselves and they didn’t we have come so far and this book shows that. This quote will show you how different thing were “Papa dug out more worms to clear Masenier’s mouth and throat. And when he stopped Masenie’s mouth was open and his eyes was open, but he was still” (15). Back then they didn’t have 911 to call so when someone was dying they had to try to do the best they could.  “After we kissed and held hands and looked into each other’s eyes for what must have been an hour, ignoring the birdcalls from the hill, and Carolyn’s giggles behind the window, Hank said he had to go, if he was to get off the mountain before dark”(46). Even in rough times you can find love this book is a great read. Since I grew up on a farm it reminded me a lot of home except for the fact that we have electricity which made me realize how it would have been like back then which was very interesting for me because I have always wanted to live in the past and that really showed ma a different side of things. But having struggles no matter how hard they are and coming out on top hit home with me and my life so I really enjoyed this book and I hope you do too.

days of our lives

The trees stand still like a posts
breeze blowing leaves
the blue water signing

gray skies in the vast distance
calm cool colors collect
what a breathing taking sight

hills open like eyes
over the far unknown
so motionless and quiet but yet so alive

wild card utopia

Utopia the place to be no matter what is going on.
it seams like everyone can see it just beyond the horizon like it is so close but yet so far away
we all want to go there but are afraid of what will be left behind
life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you have until you open the box
a place like this is too good to be true
we all look for this place but can never find it
because there in all reality is no such place even though we all want there to be one
but if there was don't you think we would all be there I mean come on who want to be here
if they can be in a perfect place

Friendship to Marriage

Kevin and Megan
(7th grade)
This picture takes me back to the simple time when all you had to
worry about was having a good time and going to school .
Young and not a care in the world
Then there was high school
prom and Kevin's graduation
of course we had our ups and downs but in the end we made it though

our trip to Washington and just playing like kids at the mall
we had so much fun and it got better
and then there was.....
this my beautiful engagement ring and though all our ups downs break up sweat and tears cried
we made it to the day where we said to vows and now we do live happily
you know most of the time because with every healthy marriage there is
it own sets of ups and downs
The Wedding Day
the happiest day of my life I love Kevin so must and
am so happy to be spending the rest of my life with him

The Giver (stirrings)

what ever decisions in life that you make
there are always going to be more around the next corner

I am very opinionated on this subject I can not believe that they would take any the one thing that really separates us from animals in our want and need to be with another human being in that way.  When they take this feeling away from them  it dehumanizes them.We were made to love one another not just emotionally but physically. these people keep so much from them that it is no longer a utopia but a dystopia they are not letting the people decide anything and the is what makes us humans is mistakes from our own choices and they are taking that away from them.

what do you think happens on Facebook

Most people think that Facebook is just a place to talk to your friend                                      but what is a friend really most of the people on our Facebook are considered acquaintances and we just let them see everything we post. some people post everything that they do like the internet is there life when really they do not even really pay attention to what is going on around them because they are on Facebook telling everyone else about it rather then living the real thing. when i signed up for Facebook it was to stay in touch with friends and family that either moved away or already live far             away i do not really post things on Facebook it is more me reading what others are doing in there lives.
